I have purchased these brushes after discovering them from gurus on youtube. They were/are really talked about throughout the internet beauty community. I had been convinced from their reviews that these brushes were the less expensive versions of MAC ones. I do not own a single MAC brush so I cannot compare them, but I do examine them at my local MAC counter. You can imagine my excitement when I found out these so called "MAC quality" brushes came out. I can say that these brushes are similar but are not like MAC brushes. I can see where the owner was going with this idea, because each Sigma brush is replicated from the MAC ones but are adjusted to make them unique. I do really like them and would like to try the entire line of their brushes, but it would be quite an investment, but still cheaper then buying the department store version.
It took one week from my purchase date to receive the products, it came with the standard 12 piece black handle set and it was promoted with a free Sigma Makeup bag. When I tried them out, I was pleased to see that they were living up to the great reviews they were getting. It's been about a month since I received them and the large brushes are losing their shape a little bit and some bristles are fraying outwards. I am trying a little trick to reshape them. Watch for a blog post on that one.

The brushes were in great condition when i recieved them, but after the first wash they lost their shape. Even though they are not like how they were, they are still very good brushes and work fine. The brushes are great, and I have replaced my drug store brushes with these in my everyday routine. However, since I use a loose mineral foundation I use a drug store brush to apply that because the SS150 isn't doing what I want it to. I have seen that Sigma does sell a flat-top kabuki brush but I have not tried it, and am wondering if that would be a good replacement. We'll see if I end up getting it.
The set was $69.00 for the 12 piece kit, but they do offer it with a black brush roll for $20.00 more. This kit also comes in a set with pink handles, but is only offered with a pink brush roll for $89.00 and cannot be purchased brushes only. They may change that in the future(we'll see). I am wanting to try their entire line, but it gets a bit pricey for everything... It took me MONTHS to even work up the courage to purchase this set. I did purchase the naughty in black travel set for $49.00 and I am waiting for it to come in. I will definetley do a review on those, and maybe even an unboxing of them.

*Don't you notice that most of those gurus on youtube who received those brushes don't even use them anymore? Then again they did pay $$$$ for their MAC ones. >D
